Project Introduction: Arctic Wolf

This project is about creating a Web site for an endangered species. It is required by the Web Publishing course for Sweetwater High School, of which I'm a student of.

My intructor, Mr. Lopez, provided me a list of endangered species; I then had to select the endangered species for the Web site I have created.

The endangered species I selected for this project is the Arctic Wolf. The reason that I chose this mammal is because the Arctic Wolf is endangered and something has to be done. Their weight range from 23 - 80 kg and body lenght are between 87 - 130 cm long. They prey on arctic hares, lemmings, caribou, and musk ox. Their predators include coyotes and gray wolves.

Arctic wolves have an average lifespan of 5 years and have a sexual maturity between the ages of 2 -3 years old. Breeding season is from January to March, and have an average of 7 offsprings.

In the above links there is more information about their population, range, behavior, threats, and protection.
